Laser cladding is used to restore critically worn surfaces of metal parts. Due to process advantages no post heat treatment or complex machining is required, greatly reducing lead times. There is a wide range of materials available to form a coating most suitable for particular application: Stainless steels, chemical and heat resistant alloys Inconel® 625 and 718, Bronze and hard facing alloys Stellite® 6, 12 and 21.
